CONSTITUTIONAL REFORM

The U.S. Constitution provides the basic framework for how our government is structured, and defines the relationship between the federal government, the states, and all people within the United States. Any movement that wants to make systemic and fundamental change in this country --and that takes itself seriously-- must grapple with the fact that the United States is not currently a functioning democratic republic.

The Constitutional Reform Conference at the 2011 Democracy Convention will provide space for attendees to discuss, debate and strategize how to ensure that the growing U.S. democracy movement takes itself seriously enough to attempt to write our political and cultural victories into the governing law of this country.

The Move to Amend coalition is the principal convener of this conference. You can ask questions or make suggestions by emailing David Cobb at david@duhc.org

ALSO: Please sign-up for the Move to Amend Affiliate Gathering that will take place during the Convention.

Our goals for the Affiliate Gathering are:

  • To solidify the relationship between Move to Amend coalition members and the national campaign team
  • To connect our coalition partners with each other
  • To bring in new coalition partners
  • To provide an opportunity for training and strategic discussion in support of the Move to Amend campaign

These sessions are open to anyone but pre-registration is required. Click here to view the agenda or register: HERE
