Lessons from the Past: Abolitionists, The Women’s Movement, Organized Labor

The 13th Amendment outlawed slavery, the 14th prohibits states from denying due process and equal protection of the law, the 15th ensures that voting rights cannot be denied based on race. Learn the history of the movements that fought for their passage, and how the amendments been applied over time.

Women’s rights were not included in the Constitution. We’ll cover lessons learned from the movements that have fought to drive women’s rights into our governing document.
