Towards a New Social Contract: Should We Codify Affirmative Rights in the Constitution?

The US Constitution currently offers no affirmative rights. Franklin D. Roosevelt and others have argued that to truly make this document democratic, affirmative rights are necessary. We'll cover what "affirmative rights" are, some examples, and how their inclusion would lay the foundation for a more democratic legal system.
