Jake Hanson
Jake has been a community organizer and justice-seeking activist with Peaceful Uprising for nearly three years. He first got involved with the democracy movement through Democracy Unlimited of Humboldt County, participating in their weekend retreat for deep democracy in 2009 and learning how to confront corporate rule and oppression by asserting human and natural rights over corporate rights. Also recognizing the need for creating alternative systems, Jake has joined the steering group of Transition Salt Lake and looks forward to the ongoing work of transforming communities toward more decentralized living and local resilience in the face of peak oil and climate change.
