Emily Kawano is an economist who has decades of experience in de-mystifying economics with the Center for Popular Economics. She is co-coordinator of the US Solidarity Economy Network, serves on the Board of RIPESS (the intercontinental solidarity economy network), and co-director of Wellspring Cooperative which is developing a network of worker cooperatives in Springfield, MA.
