Walda Katz-Fishman, a scholar activist, popular educator and author, and professor of sociology at Howard University, was a founding member and former board chair of Project South: Institute for the Elimination of Poverty & Genocide. She served on the National Planning Committee of the U.S. Social Forum and is active in many social science and social justice movement organizations, including the League of Revolutionaries for a New America.
