I am a father, teacher, author and community organizer based in Northern California. I currently serve as Communications and Special Projects Coordinator for Transition US, national hub of the international Transition Towns Movement, and I am working in community to plan the first-ever Transition National Gathering this summer in the Twin Cities (the week before the Democracy Convention!). I'm completing my Master of Fine Arts degree this May at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, where I am working on the manuscript of my first book. I also teach anatomy, physiology and hands-on healing modalities at the World School of Massage and Holistic Healing Arts in San Francisco. In 2016, I ran for U.S. House of Representatives in CA's 5th District, and served as a delegate for Bernie Sanders. I am a peaceful revolutionary committed to social, racial, environmental and economic justice for all, I am dedicated to doing all in my power to facilitate this movement, and I am interested in developing the capacity to more authentically be the change I wish to see in the world.
