The Global Climate Convergence is an education and direct action campaign on behalf of People, Planet and Peace over Profit. It provides coordinated action and collaboration across fronts of struggle and national borders to harness the transformative power we already possess as a thousand separate movements.

A movement for democracy and justice is sweeping the globe – from the water wars of Cochabamba and Detroit, to the human rights struggles of Chiapas and Ferguson; from the mines of Cajamarca to the Tar Sands of Alberta, from the militarized US borders to the occupation of Gaza; from fields of India to Durban ports; from colleges of Quebec & Mexico to Brazilian forests, sweatshops of Bangladesh & beyond. People are rising up against the global assault on our shared economy, ecology, peace, democracy and Mother Earth.

People are standing up to resist resource extraction, austerity, water privatization, industrial agriculture and forestry, labor and immigrant exploitation, poverty, corporate land grabs, predatory “free trade”, war profiteering and the privatization of health care and education.

The accelerating climate disaster, which threatens to unravel civilization as soon as 2050, intensifies all of these struggles and creates new urgency for collaboration and unified action.
