Democracy Convention

Democracy is coming... to the U.S.A.

Voting Justice

The Jill Stein campaign initiated a recount on behalf of hundreds of thousands of concerned voters, bringing election integrity into the national spotlight. But ensuring that votes are counted is just the tip of the iceberg, when the entire US political system is rigged to prevent the people from taking power away from the ruling elite. To bring real democracy to America, we need a broad movement for voting justice.

Universalizing Resistance

Our book, "Welcome to the Revolution: Universalizing Resistance for Social Justice and Democracy in Perilous Times," speaks to the rising political consciousness and energy that must coalesce into a united movement to stop the right.

Color of Water

We want the guarantee of a Human Right to Water to matter for everyone! For most of us these are tough times. For Boston's working people, especially those in communities of color and immigrant neighborhoods, there are many challenges. Water need not be one of them. But it is. Many other cities have taken steps to protect their families and communities. They may take our income into account, look at our welfare situation, or help with payments. Boston needs to do the same.

Alliance for Global Justice

We support locally-based grassroots organizing by sharing political analysis, mobilizing for direct action, monitoring the centers of corporate and government power, expanding channels of communication, and sharing skills and infrastructure. Our commitment to solidarity and to non-hierarchical democratic process enables us to respectfully listen and respond to each other within the movement.

Alliance for Democracy

ALLIANCE FOR DEMOCRACY is a new Populist movement --- not a political party --- setting forth to end the domination of our economy, our government, our culture, our media and the environment by large corporations. THE ALLIANCE brings people together to build a progressive populist movement to end the corporate domination of our economy, our government, our culture, our media and the environment. It is time to end corporate rule.

Global Climate Convergence

The Global Climate Convergence is an education and direct action campaign on behalf of People, Planet and Peace over Profit. It provides coordinated action and collaboration across fronts of struggle and national borders to harness the transformative power we already possess as a thousand separate movements.

Massachusetts Global Action

Massachusetts Global Action is a statewide grassroots network and membership organization, founded in August 2004 to help communities challenge the negative effects of corporate globalization in the Commonwealth. MGA was formed by the merger of the Campaign on Contingent Work (CCW) and the Massachusetts Anti-Corporate Clearinghouse (MACC).

Poor Peoples Economic Human Rights Campaign

The Poor People’s Economic Human Rights Campaign is building a movement that unites the poor across color lines. Poverty afflicts Americans of all colors. Daily more and more of us are downsized and impoverished. We share a common interest in uniting against the prevailing conditions and around our vision of a society where we all have the right to health care, housing, living wage jobs, and access to quality primary, secondary, and higher education.

World Beyond War

World Beyond War is a global nonviolent movement to end war and establish a just and sustainable peace.

We aim to create awareness of popular support for ending war and to further develop that support. We work to advance the idea of not just preventing any particular war but abolishing the entire institution.

We strive to replace a culture of war with one of peace in which nonviolent means of conflict resolution take the place of bloodshed.

Move to Amend

Formed in September 2009, Move to Amend is a coalition of hundreds of organizations and hundreds of thousands of individuals committed to social and economic justice, ending corporate rule, and building a vibrant democracy that is genuinely accountable to the people, not corporate interests.

We are calling for an amendment to the US Constitution to unequivocally state that inalienable rights belong to human beings only, and that money is not a form of protected free speech under the First Amendment and can be regulated in political campaigns.
